Why a Multi-Service Housing Centre?
Bringing partners together under one roof supports collaboration and facilitates timely, individualized supports. Rooted in social justice and understanding the social determinants of health, partners in space will work together to deliver meaningful, whole person, impactful services and supports that make a difference.
A place for belonging
Community is at the core of the centre with rentable office and meeting spaces, a cultural circle, a multipurpose room, a café, community garden and more. While this welcoming space will be purposely designed by and for youth, it will be a space that our community can embrace, enjoy, and feel proud about.
We're providing housing
New, truly affordable units within the Centre will create opportunities for supportive movement thorugh Phoenix spaces. When young people have a safe, secure, and dignified place to live they can work toward education opportunities, career goals and gain life skills. Collaborative supports create more options for youth to find and maintain appropriate housing in community.
A place for physical and mental health care
Health care with a holistic approach. Youth will find access to primary care, mental health care, occupational therapy, physicotherapy, sexual health, gender affirming care, nutritionists, and more.
